Well Hey Y’all!! I am back and so excited to be creating with my friends for the Blogging Friends Blog Hop! This month our theme is Can You Feel the Love Tonight?, and I had a blast working with some wonderful new products from the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. I couldn’t wait to play with the From My Heart Suite. Here is what I came up with:
The Heartfelt stamp set has wonderful images as well as six different sentiments. I love the versatility and of course that Stampin’ Up! coordination of all the products! So, let’s take a closer look-
This card is a ton of fun and really easy to complete. I used ink, stamps, and cardstock, along with the Heart Punch Pack. The only tricky part is the cut out scalloped heart that allows the Flirty Flamingo card front to peek through. Use a little bit of adhesive to layer your Whisper White layer over the Real Red layer and use the scallop heart punch to punch the hole through both. Then, you separate the white layer and do all the stamping on the card front. Finally, you just line up the punched hearts and layer it all up! I added the Happy Valentine’s Day heart with Dimensionals, and sprinkled some of the Faceted Gems to give it some bling.
Here is the inside-
I also really wanted to play with the new Heart Foil Tins. They are a really great size, and hold a lot of fun. I fit 20 Hershey Kisses in mine! (The Christmas assortments are all on sale and if you separate out the green ones for St. Patrick’s Day, you can use the red and silver ones for Valentine’s Day. )
Also on the top is one of the Heart Doilies. I used the scallop heart punch to punch a red scallop heart from the From My Heart DSP and layered it onto the doily. The DSP also has those beautiful foil accented hearts that fit perfectly into the plain heart punch. Add some of the Real Red Double Stitched ribbon and you have a fast 5 minute treat! But this one has a little surprise….when you take off the ribbon….
…..there is a sweet little message underneath!
Isn’t that fun?? My last little happy project actually uses some of the DSP and ribbon, but the stamps and dies are from the Trio of Tags bundle that is carried over from the Holiday Mini. The design and template for this little lip balm holder is from the incredibly talented Julie DiMatteo over at the Paper Pixie. You can view the tutorial video HERE.
This one was really fun, and surprisingly easy to put together! Nice alternative to candy-giving for this holiday. I hope you have enjoyed these ideas and that you will hop along with my talented crafting friends by clicking on the next name on the list-
Thanks and I hope that 2020 is super kind to you!
