I can’t believe it is already time for another Blog Hop!! This month we are gearing up for February and the month of LOVE… Speaking of which, I am so in love with the new Occasions catalog as well as the Sale-a-Bration brochure!! I chose to use the beautiful set “To Have and To Hold” along with the All My Love DSP.
I stamped the flower image on vellum using Lovely Lipstick ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. (Let’s be honest here…I hate waiting for ink to dry on vellum and figured since I was going to use my heat gun anyway…) The couple was stamped next and also clear embossed. This piece is layered on the DSP and white matte, and then hole punched for the gorgeous ribbon from the All my Love Ribbon Combo pack. “Love you a lot” was stamped in Lovely Lipstick on white and punched with a 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered on the 1 3/8″ scallop circle. I attached this to the vellum with some glue dots. Below is a close up of the epoxy hearts I added as an extra sprinkle of love and shine.
(A fun bonus tip for you!)
I also discovered as I was mounting the new CLING stamps (Ah-Maze-inG!!), that you can use the leftover part of the sticker sheet to put inside your stamp case. Before, with our clear mount stamps, I would use the red rubber outline to put in the case. It helped me keep the stamps in there and account for all of them being in their place. With the new cling stamps, getting them in and out of the red rubber was a problem because they cling so well! However, using the rest of the label sheet, you get the same effect and can easily see if the set is complete- and also see the set information from the back! (Now, I know, I know, you can use the leftovers on the label sheet to add some of the “cling” material to older clear mount stamps. I am just hoping that Stampin’ Up! will provide some for us in the future to customize our older sets.)
Because I can’t make just one….
So, my desk is an absolute mess as I was working on a swap for the Occasions catalog and had a bunch of stuff still scattered in my work space. I had an idea for a “LOVE” card using what was there and I am so happy with the way it turned out!! It is definitely one for the motorcycle enthusiast couple, but I have some of those in my life and love the sentiment of “YOU jump-start my HEART”!
This card used lots of product from the Classic Garage Suite in the Occasions catalog. Check it out here! My husband is a big classic car lover so this is a favorite in our house for sure!
