We had the most fun at my Butterflies! class last week. If you don’t know me well, I absolutely LOVE butterflies! I even have one tattooed on my body. They symbolize so much for me personally, and they are simply beautiful. Due to family issues and backorder situations, I was unable to hold my class when previously scheduled. But that all worked itself out and I am so thrilled with how it all turned out. I featured the Beauty Abounds and Butterfly Gala bundles, as well as the Gingham Gala DSP stack and included a pack of the matching sequins with the class. We also did some fun techniques on the different cards. Here is a closer look:
I found lots of great ideas on Pinterest for these cards. The Lemon Lime twist one is based on a swap I received from Jill Olsen. I loved using the leftover strips of DSP to add accents to the insides of the cards as well as the envelopes.
This beautiful pop-up card is CASED from the extremely talented Monica Depung! She is a stampin’ sister in Tennessee and I love getting to stamp and swap with her. Purple is my favorite color as well and I thought this card was perfect! (I did use some of the DSP from Sale-a-Bration…..are you shocked that I have hoarded several packs?? 😉 and I had a pack of the Organdy ribbon which matches the Gingham Gala suite so it added just the right touches)
This card is based on a layout I saw in several places. I pulled out my Color Coach and chose this combination and LOVE how it turned out! Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Highland Heather go so beautifully together.
The pouch on the left is CASED from the amazing Dee Slater. It is the one we did as part of the class. The pouch on the right is a version I made to give to one of my Downline members who has achieved her next step forward. I included some of the sequins attached to the card in the Grapefruit Grove and used the Stamping Your Way to the Top stamp set that is a Demonstrator exclusive set.
I hope you enjoyed checking out these projects. If you are local to me, I would love to have you join me in the future. If you are not, I will have an option for you to have the class shipped to you under the Events tab when you register. All supplies will be cut for you and you’ll receive pictures of the projects along with instructions for completing them. (ink and tools not provided)
You may notice that there are no Events scheduled right now! Well, the reason is that my son is having a major surgery on June 10th. (any prayers lifted on our behalf are much appreciated!) Because we have no idea how his recovery will go, I hesitate to schedule anything. However, as soon as we are back home and doing well, I will get some events on the calendar and look forward to seeing you!!
Until then, thanks for looking and Rubber Hugs!
