The New catty is here and you know what that means….time for my annual Open House and Retirement Sale! If you are local to the Huntsville, AL area, you are welcome to come by on Friday or Saturday (June 12th and 13th) between the hours of 9am and 4pm. There are lots of products to shop and several make-n-take projects that you can complete for FREE. Come and enjoy free gifts with purchases and get a copy of the new catalog for yourself.
If you are still staying cautious and don’t want to venture out, I will be emailing a list of remaining items for sale to my mailing list. Now for a Sample of something NEW!
My wonderful team of Rubber Magnolias is having a swap to share new products and ideas. Here is one of my designs using the new In Good Taste suite. At first, still unsure of my design, I found a sample on page 44 that would also work with this set. Don’t you just love that our catalog is also a source of inspiration and ideas???!! Here it is-
Wanting a softer look, I started with a Very Vanilla piece of Thick cardstock and added a layer of Petal Pink, then a layer of In Good Taste DSP. Next, I cut a label with the Tasteful Labels dies, and stamped the flower image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Basic Grey ink. I created a mask for this flower with a post-it note so that I could now stamp the branches around it. After coloring the image with both Petal Pinks, light Old Olive, and light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, I adhered it to the card front. For the sentiment piece, I want to share a little trick in using some of our dies to change the size.
First, you stamp the sentiment on the cardstock and place the die where it is framed at the bottom. Run this through the machine. Then, you place the die again so that your sentiment is perfectly framed and run through the machine again. Now, you have a custom size that fits on your layout!
To finish out the card, I added a piece of the new Faux Suede Trim to the back of my sentiment and adhered it with dimensionals. I also stamped on the inside to use more of this gorgeous stamp set!
I hope you have enjoyed a glimpse into the amazing new products available from Stampin’ Up! Feel free to click on the catalog image at the right to see them for yourself. I look forward to sharing with you our swaps soon and in the meantime,
Happy Stamping and Rubber Hugs!
