Happy June everyone!!
I am thrilled to be back and working in the studio again. This gives me time to play with new products from the NEW May 2021-April 2022 Annual Catalog!!! If you haven’t seen one and want to check it out, just click on the image in the right hand column. Without further ado, let’s check out some projects!!-
The first suite that I simply adore is the Simply Elegant Suite (p. 68). Here is the card I created for my swap for our OnStage Online experience-
I love the Elegantly Said stamp set (p. 69) for its bold images and gorgeous sentiments. This card also features two of our new In Colors this year (p. 123)- Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I’m not sure if you can see it, but the vanilla looking layer is actually our Pearlescent Specialty Paper (p. 135) that is just beautiful!
Here is a fancy little box of chocolates I also created with this suite-
This little box is one of our 3 1/8″ square Acetate Boxes (p. 137). They hold 8 of the Merci chocolates perfectly!! I wanted to design a gift that could be masculine or feminine and this is the final result. It features the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper (p. 133) that is full of copper, gold, and silver foiling. The paper is actually cut and scored to fit perfectly inside the box with a peak at the chocolates at the top. I finished it off with some ribbon and a tag of gratitude made from the Hippo & Friends dies and Gold Foil paper.
The next project features the Hand-Penned Suite (p. 104). This is a gorgeous photopolymer stamp set that is accompanied by the Penned Flowers dies and the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper which is what is featured here-
This gift bag is an idea from the amazingly talented Ronda Wade and uses every bit of two full pieces of DSP to create. (We actually made these at our last Birthday Bash stamp camp, so visit that post for the instructions for it!) I also added a half sheet of Soft Succulent cardstock to make the card base, card hanger, and accent strip on the front of the card. This set is a two-step stamping set so you can easily color your flowers and leaves just by stamping!
I used the dies to cut them out and popped them on dimensionals to a white piece cut from the new Scalloped Contours dies (p. 158) which are a must-have!! I cut another piece to put inside the card to write on as well. The Genial Gems (p. 142) add the perfect touch of sparkle green.
The bag ends up being 8 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 3 inches deep which is a great size for all sorts of gifting! And, it is a fabulous way to use up all of your hoarded DSP!
I hope you enjoyed these projects and I will get back to work so I can share some more. Check out the catalog and I will be scheduling some classes very soon. AND, in August we will have a new Holiday catalog and another round of Sale-a-Bration!
Happy stamping and Rubber Hugs,
