I stumbled across a video by Lisa Freeman that gave instructions on how to make this amazing Purse Card Holder!! (the one on the far right) Because I needed a quick fun project for my Rubber Magnolias meeting, I created the one on the left with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. These holders are amazing because they are not only beautiful, but they will hold 8 to 10 cards with envelopes inside! The magic is using one of our Acetate Card Boxes like this-
Isn’t that fun???!!! You can see the video and instructions for the full size project HERE. But I had the idea to make a smaller version using the NEW 3 1/8″ Acetate Card Boxes in the Annual Catalog. I reached for the Ornate Garden Suite for inspiration and this is what I came up with-
Isn’t it so cute?? Because I wanted to use one box cut in half, the pockets are on the shorter side. However, you could use two boxes and just cut the tops with flaps off of them. They perfectly hold some chocolate as you can see which is always a great idea. They will also hold 3×3 notecards and envelopes as well. I also had the idea of cutting up sheets of rhinestones, pearls, and other embellishments to add in….maybe some ribbon wrapped around cardstock, too. In the spirit of sharing, here are the instructions to make this little cutie!
