Hey y’all. Seems like I have been to too many funerals and hospital visits in the past month! So many reasons for tears…..and thus the purpose behind these projects. I wanted to create some small tokens of love that were more than a card. Something that says you can cry on my shoulder and I’ll be here with tissues. I LOVE that our stamp sets have so many wonderful sentiments for occasions like these. So here is a look at these three projects (and there is a new video and a pdf as well!)
The first project is a Tissue box cover-
The main body of the box features the Very Versailles stamp set. The words come from the sets Path of Petals, Flourishing Phrases, Woven Heirlooms, and Hold on to Hope. I used Crumb Cake and Pretty Peacock inks and cardstocks along with Very Vanilla. There is a little trick with cutting the oval for the top so be sure and watch the video below.
The next project is a Small Tissue holder-
This little holder uses only a 1/2 sheet of cardstock and holds one of those travel size tissue packs perfectly. I again used the same colors and stamp sets as above. The video shows you how to score, assemble, and create the place where the tissues come out.
The last project is a Tissue Card-
Instructions on making this little box to go inside a card are in the pdf below. I also show in the video how to attach it inside the card. Here is the video (sorry it is a lengthy one- but it is 3 projects in one!):
And here is the pdf with written measurements for you:
Tears and Tissues Project Collection
I hope that you have found some inspiration with these projects. I also hope that you will share some love with someone who is dealing with tears of sadness by sharing a handmade gift from the heart. Thanks for letting me share my heart with you!
